Understanding SeeSo demo and sample project

There are many webcam-based eye tracking software in the world. But some takes 5 minutes for calibration, and some does not support platform that you want to use.

SeeSo is the ultimate eye tracking SDK for your service.

SeeSo is different. You can start gaze tracking within 4 seconds by 1 point calibration. Not to mention, SeeSo supports major platforms including iOS, Android, and Web!

Is SeeSo really better?

If you want to experience how innovative SeeSo is, try our demos and sample projects.

Demo vs. Sample project

  • Demo: app and web for everyone to experience SeeSo.
  • Sample project: SDK sample project for developers. It requires sign up and license key from manage.seeso.io . You can use it as an example reference and test the SDK.

1. Demo

Okay, Which demo should I try?

Well, it depends. Find the one that is suitable for you. You can download demos from here (https://visual.camp/demo-archive/)

Real-time Gaze point and path

If you’ve read beginners guide of SeeSo, you understand SeeSo generates gaze data in real-time by processing user’s face image. Data is temporary stored on user’s device and visualized as real-time gaze point or path on the screen.

  • Gaze point: The location where you are looking at. It’s shown as x and y coordinates.
  • Gaze path: Consist of gaze location and duration when the gaze is fixed longer at certain area.

Demos with use case

Try these demos if you are curious about how does SeeSo actually works as commercial product. You can benchmark these functions for your product.

1. SeeSo Web Analysis

https://youtu.be/nwMEj8b-c2A
  • Mobile Web Analysis: SeeSo Web Analysis app loads mobile website(URL) to analyze each pages. It works similar to UX testing tool with eye tracker on.
  • Heatmap/Scan path: SeeSo Web Analysis app provide heatmap and scan path after exploring the pages. The result is post processed.
  • Gaze pattern: The demo gives simple timeline graphs using gaze coordinate (x, y coordinates) and fixation. For example, if the user was reading on the web, the gaze location graph could be the clue to if the user read the contents carefully or briefly.

2. SeeSo Book

https://youtu.be/jRvppSj4gx0
  • Gaze Page Turner: SeeSo Book let you control the e-book page with eyes instead of touching the screen. This feature is already integrated into Korean mobile e-book company, Millie. It was the world-first case of applying eye tracking technology to commercial e-book application.

3. Gaze Auto Scroll

https://youtu.be/v-_Y4TNsAHs
  • Gaze Auto Scroll: It’s an innovative interface to read e-book or web-fiction. The speed of auto scroll is controlled by user’s gaze location. It’s a private demo, but you could contact us at contactus@seeso.io to try it out.

2. Sample project

Sample project requires license key!

  1. Sign up manage.seeso.io
  2. Issue a trial license key (It’s free for first 30 days, but you can extend anytime)
  3. Download sample project from the platform that you want to try. (https://docs.seeso.io/docs/document/sample-projects)
  4. Try all SeeSo features!

FAQ of sample project

Q. What is different between 1 point or 5,6 points calibration?

The accuracy. We recommend to use 5 points calibration. But if you are worried about user experience or doesn’t require high accuracy, 1 point calibration could suffice. Please try 1 or 5 points calibration and compare them from your device.

Q. What is difference between default/low/high calibration tolerance?

It’s about number of images require for calibration. The high calibration tolerance requires more images looking at the calibration target for the calibration to proceed.

Q. From the UserStatus API, how is the attention calculated?

Attention is estimated using eye movement, gaze type, head positions, and other parameters obtained from SeeSo. You can think of it as “metric which describes user’s attention to the display screen.”
